We have seen different product being paraded by the
cosmetics industries as cleansers. Some good, some not so good due to the fact
that the ingredients used may not agree with your face. This may negatively
affect your face by giving you breakouts. I learnt this method I’m going to
show you from my mother and it’s cheap, simple and very effective.
I call it
the simplest natural method because you only need two things; salt and water
which is readily available in your house.
What you need;
A bowl of warm water
Half teaspoon of sea salt.
And lastly, a white handkerchief
Dissolve the salt into the bowl of warm water, then dab the
white handkerchief inside the water and gently wash your face avoiding the eye area.
Leave the water on your face for like 5 minutes, then wash off with cold or lukewarm water and
moisturize. Salt is a natural exfoliate that sloughs off dead skin, it also
cleanses your skin pores deeply and balance oil production. salt has anti bacterial properties which help to fight pimple as well.
Do not use too much salt because too much salt tends to dry
out skin and cause irritation. Do this two to three times a week; you will
notice a difference in your face.
Use sea salt not table salt as sea salt contains a wide
range of necessary minerals like calcium, magnesium, chlorine, iodine, potassium,
zinc, iron and trace minerals, but in the absence of sea salt, you can as well
use table salt. I use that at
times and the result is always the same.
For those in Nigeria, you can purchase your sea salt from
konga, jiji or shoprite.
