OLIVE OIL AS AN ANTI-AGING BEAUTY THERAPY.

Olive oil is a very popular product that is widely used in the cosmetics industry. Olive oil is very rich in vitamins, minerals and anti oxidants.  It is a powerful ingredient of anti aging skin care products, rich in natural fatty acids.  It prevents skin aging, the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It also nourishes, rejuvenates and protects the skin.

Olive oil is good at maintaining skin elasticity and softness, it equally hydrates the skin and helps prolong youthful skin due to its richness in vitamin E and A
BEAUTY USES OF OLIVE OIL

1.       AS A BODY LOTION
Olive oil is a wonderful body lotion as it hydrates the body making it soft and smooth.  I normally apply it on my body immediately after taking my bath. This is recommended so that the remaining water on your skin can help the olive oil to be properly absorbed and also prevent your skin from looking greasy.

3.       AS AN EYE MAKEUP REMOVER
When you apply your eye shadow, eye liner, mascara and the rest of it, the easiest way to wipe them off at the end of the day is by using olive oil or Vaseline. Put one or two drops of olive oil on a damp cotton wool (damp not wet o!) then gently use it to remove your eye makeup. It will easily remove even the waterproof makeup

4.       OLIVE OIL AS AN EYE CREAM
Remember I said that olive oil prevents skin aging, wrinkles and fine lines right? Ok. One of the areas you can easily notice wrinkles is around the eye area. Gently dab some olive oil under your eyes before bedtime, it will nourish the tender skin around your eyes and soften fine lines. Keep your olive oil eye cream in the fridge and enjoy refreshing vitamin filled beauty treatment.

Finally, remember to add olive oil in your salads. It will improve your skin and nourish your body from within. Remember beauty starts from within.

Please note; when you buy olive oil, make sure you purchase the extra virgin formulation.

Extra virgin olive oil has the highest nutritional value because it has undergone the least amount of processing.
